Reading Comprehension
Next you are going to read six texts in which people talk about the houses they want and ten advertisements for houses. Relate the people, 1-6, with the texts that inform about the houses, a)-j). There are three texts that you should not relate.
1. Juan | Since I travel a lot, I haven’t thought about buying one yet. I would also like a studio: one room, kitchenette, and a tiny bathroom. |
2. Charo | With three children we need a large apartment, with at least three bedrooms. It should not be a very high floor: it seems dangerous with small children, but I don’t want to move to the outskirts. |
3. Víctor | Well, since I can’t afford anything too big or in the center, I guess I’ll have to settle for something on the outskirts. Of course, I need two rooms because with so many books… |
4. Fátima | I have always wanted to have my own place in the centre, but I want something where I can park well and that faces a wide street, because for me the most important thing is light. |
5. Pablo | My wife insisted on a house with a garden. But then I was the one who had to take care of it. Now I want something spacious, in the centre if possible, and with two floors. |
6. Ernesto | I would like to enjoy a swimming pool and a garden, but without having to take care of them. They are a lot of work and are also very expensive to maintain. |
