Me llamo Rosa y me casè hace ahora exactamente cinco meses y… tres dias. Yo soy de las que siempre decìan que no se casarìan o lo que, si lo hacìa, serìa de manera màs sencilla posible. Y manuel, me marido, era de la misma opinion. Pero al final… ¡tuvimos una boda por toda lo alto! Y es que era tan importante para mis padres y sobre toda, para mi abuela, que no tuve màs remedio que hacerlo asi. Y es que soy su ùnica nieta. Tengo dos hermanos y cinco primos, todos chicos… Y su sueño era verme a mi casada de blanco, con flores, con mùsica…
Y es que la pobre, cuando se casò, no pudo celebrarlo porque acababa de morir su madre. Asi es que yo creo que querìa para mì lo que ella no tuvo.
Yo me ocupè del vestido porque muy claro lo que querà. Asi que hice un dibujo y se lo enseñè a una modista de mi pueblo y ella me lo hizo. Me ayudò a elegir las telas màs adecuadas para el modelo que yo habìa diseñado. Tenìa una falda muy voluminosa, quedaba precioso, pero la verdad es que luego, a la hora del vals, fue un poco incòmodo. Los zapatos, aunque tenìan un tacòn bastante m’as alto que el que yo suelo llevar, eran comodìsimos. Me puse tambièn unos pendientes y un collar antiguos de mi abuela. La verdad es que, aunque estè mal decirlo, creo que iba bastante guapa…
De la fiesta y todo lo demàs se encargò mi madre y la verdad es que lo hizo genial. Lo màs bonito para mi es que la celebramos en el camp, en una finca preciosa que nos prestò mi tìo. El tiene varias y, como era primavera, estaba todo lleno de flores, asi es que en eso no tuvimos que gastar nada, gracias a Dios, porque el còctel nos costò una verdadera fortuna. Bueno, a nosotros no, lo pagò mi pobre padre…
Todo estaba riquisimo, especialmente la tarta. A propòsito, ahora me acuerdo de que de repente, cuando ibamos a hacer la foto cortando la tarta. El fotògrafo se dio cuenta de que me faltaba uno de los pendientes. ¡Què disgusto! Todos los invitados se pusieron a buscerlo y, ¡menos mal!, apareciò al lado de los mùsicos. Ese fue el unico momento malo del dia.
Ah, un detalle que sorprendiò a todos lo invitados fue que, para el còctel, encargamos unas servilletas personalizadas.Eran azules, de un tono màs oscuro que los manteles de las mesas, y en ellas aprarecìan en letras plateadas nuestras inicials y fecha de la boda. ¡Ah! Y por supuesto no nos libramos del tìpico video en que se nos veia a mi y a mi novio desde pequeños…

The shoes, although they had a much higher heel than what I usually wear, were very comfortable. I also wore some old earrings and a necklace from my grandmother. My mother took care of the party and everything else and the truth is that she did a great job. The most beautiful thing for me is that we celebrated it in the countryside, in a beautiful farm that my uncle lent us. He has several and, since it was spring, everything was full of flowers, so we didn’t have to spend anything on that, thank God, because the flowerbed cost us a real fortune. Everything was delicious, especially the cake. By the way, now I remember that suddenly, when we were going to take the photo cutting the cake. The photographer realized that I was missing one of the earrings. What a disappointment! All the guests started looking for it and, thank goodness! it appeared next to the musicians. That was the only bad moment of the day.
Oh, a detail that surprised all the guests was that, for the cocktail, we ordered some personalized napkins. They were blue, a darker tone than the tablecloths, and on them our initials and date of the event were shown in silver letters. wedding. Ah!
